Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation came into existence as a freelance Ministry on fifteenth October 1999 when the merger of the Department of Statistics and also the Department of Programme Implementation. The Ministry has 2 wings, one concerning Statistics and the different Programme Implementation. The Statistics Wing known as the National statistical office (NSO) consists of the Central statistical office (CSO), the pc Centre and the National Sample Survey office (NSSO). The Programme Implementation Wing has 3 Divisions, namely, (1) Twenty purpose Programme (2) Infrastructure watching and Project observance and (3) Member of Parliament local area Development scheme.
NSSO MOSPI Field Investigator Recruitment 2014

NSSO is the short form of National Sample Survey Office. National Sample Survey (NSO) Office, Government of India invited applications for Recruitment to the Posts of field Investigators on purely contract basis. Interested eligible candidates can apply for the posts of file Investigators. Applications will be reaching to NSS office as per prescribed format on or before 29th June 2014.

Educational Qualifications:
  1. Graduate Degree from a recognized University with Statistics/Economics/Mathematics as one of the papers at Degree level.
  2. Knowledge of English and local language.
  3. Knowledge of Computer applications like MS office etc.
  4. Desirable - Experience in conducting field survey and field data collection work in a Government Organization. Such Candidates would be given preference at the time of assessing the suitability for the job.

Age Limits for Filed Investigators job In NSSO

Candidate’s age should be between 21-30 years as on 1 July 2014. Age relaxation will be applicable as per the government rules.
