The Reserve Bank Of India decided to launch Rs 100 note in new Lavender color which will be in circulation by next month. The Rs 100 note left untouchable during the demonetization of Rs 1000 and Rs 500 note.

RBI To Launch New Rs 100 Note In Lavender Color, Salient Features


The RBI decided to launch a new Rs 100 note in order to restrict the use of black money. "The base color of the note is lavender. The note has other designs, geometric patterns aligning with the overall color scheme, both at the obverse and reverse. The dimension of the banknote will be 66 mm x 142 mm," the RBI said in a statement.
